Bathrooms

We have tiled the bathrooms during 2009 in order to enhance the quality and comfort for our guests.  The main bathroom, which has a shower over the bath is looking splendid with tiled walls and floor.  The private shower room and the loo in the passage have tiled floors.  All our guests have said that they are most impressed.

Visiting Barn Owls

We put up an Owl box, just opposite the Barn, in the Spring of 2009.  We were lucky enough to attract a nesting Barn Owl in our first year.  She had three chicks and these were all ringed.  They have now fledged, but we can still (November 2009) hear a Barn Owl close by and hope that we shall be lucky again next year. Thanks to Mike Stewart who put up the box and ringed the chicks.

Double Glazed Windows

We are replacing all the windows in the Barn over the winter of 2009/2010, in order to improve the insulation.  The new windows have a greater seperation between the panes of the double glazed sealed units, which should lead to greater heat retention.
