Are you coming to Scotland for a Short Break ? In a Self Catering Holiday cottage ?
Then come to Thorntree Barn, in Arnprior. We are only 12 miles from Stirling in Central Scotland.
The views from Thorntree are wonderful, and there is SO much to see and do, all within 1 hour of the cottage.
Whether it is the scenery, historic buildings and castles, city centres, film locations, or activities. We have it all within easy range.
We are only 1 hour (maximum) from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Stirlingshire straddles Scotland’s central belt with Edinburgh to the south east and Glasgow to the south west, it includes a beautifully varied rural landscape that extends into the western fringes of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Stirlingshire lies effectively in the centre of Scotland and with excellent road and rail connections in all directions it is a perfect base for touring. It has also been at the centre of the country’s history through the ages – here were fought the Battle of Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn itself. Stirling itself is dominated by the spectacular castle on its rock, looking across to the Wallace Monument on the opposite hill.
